This coming October, the Paris Motor Show will be featuring the new Fabia model that the Skoda is planning to introduce to the public. But for those of you who can’t wait to see it, the auto manufacturer have already released the official exterior image ahead of time.
You’ll notice immediately that it is bigger than the previous model, and that’s because they made it 1.2 inches lower and 3.5 inches wider. This novelty is also adorned with styling lines and cues which concept was derived from the Vision C and sports cars brand, according to the manufacturer.
Despite the initial details that Skoda has already made public about their new brand’s city car, they’re still keeping their lips sealed about the information about its modular platform.
There are assumptions, that the PQ26 platform developed by the Volkswagen group or the combination of elements of PQ26 and PQ25 will be used for this new Fabia, though.
There the new Fabia is said to be available in a wagon and hatchback with five doors according to Skoda’s announcement last month. This is likely to be in attempt to increase the annual sales to about 1.5 million cars.
On the other hand, the Polo model features that are reported to be fitted in the new Fabia like improved safety and infotainment system, emergency brakes, adaptive cruise control, Mirror Link with a touchscreen display is the manufacturer’s attempt to boost sales in Europe.
Aside from that, the three-cylinder engine of the new Polo that is very economical with fuel consumption of 78 mpg will also be in the new Fabia.
The current version costs 11,640 euros, you could start expecting the new Fabia to be around that amount plus car grooming for maintenance.
